27TH

I celebrated my 27TH with my family. Hubby on leave that day so we went out for lunch with xuan lin. Whereas my mil look aft wei ze at home. Had a wonderful celebration with my loved one and appreciate hubby for taking leave and accompany us.

5mths & 2 days he flipped

Wei ze's flipped infront of his papa when I m nt ard. Papa is the 1st person to witness his flip. Well it means that we got to be extra careful when putting him on our bed. Must fully blocked with pillows jus in case he fall.

But he yet to master the skill to flip from his tummy to back. Let wait and see when can do it.

Veggie stock

I take the effort to cook veggie stock for xuan Lin. The stock turn out to be very sweet. These stock are meant for cooking porridge, marconi or noodle. I boiled a big pot of stock that are suppose to use for a wk. Once the stock are cool then I transfer them to plastic bag and freeze. Hopefully I can continue to do this and provide more nutrition food for the kids.

2 big onion
2 celery
2 potato
Ikan billis
Red dates
Yellow bean

Wei ze's is 5mths old on 4 Nov

Wei ze's is 5 mths old. He sleep lesser. He want to play with his Jie jie and he love giggle. He knws where is the door to go out and he knw where is guan yi pu sa. Few times he attempt to flip but nt successful.

I hv yet to intro him any solid. Received a call from mamil wanted to send me their fm sample for 6months and above. I survive and succes in breastfeeding him for 5months. Jus another month to mark the min 6 months period. Sad thing is I don't latch him so often like before. I pump out most of the time as I found it quite hard to latch him even since I started work. Hopefully he will want my breast again :(

MIL 68th Birthday on 23 October

We advance celebrated MIL birthday at Shaw Plaza Sakura. We went on the weekday as hubby need to work on the actual day. Hence, we bring both kids with us. Food wise ok only but hubby ate alot of raw salmon. I personally like their satay and durian pastry.

Hubby took leave on that saturday so we went to his er gu's house with the 2 kids. This is the 1st time we bring wei ze's to her hse and she gave him a red packet. We went back home after that cos both kids need to take afternoon nap. I then faster run out to get a cake for my mil @ takashimaya. Was quite upset that the mango tropican from four leave need to be order in advance. In the end i get a black forest cake from bengawan solo.

Wei ze's is 4th month on 04 Oct

Even since I am back to the workforce. I seldom have the time and energy to bond with my little one. I agreed being a working mother and fully breastfeeding my little one is not an easy task. I missed out alot of his milestone and I wouldn't be the 1st person to witness his 1st flip, 1st word, 1st fall and alot more to come.

Wei ze's is no longer a small and fragile bb to us. He has grown up alot despite his weigh is only 5.68kg and 61cm tall. Now that he sleep lesser and need more of our attention in the day. His milk intake is slightly better as I increase to 125ml and sometime he can finish but sometime nt. I m happy if he is drinking more. Still thinking if I should start him on semi solid si sen brown rice ant. Cos I only start semi solid on Xian Lin when she turns 6mths. Def there are pro and con to start early. Some ppl say milk intake lesser can let him starts early and some say it is best to start ltr cos they hv their whole life to eat jus let them hv purely milk for their 1st 6mth.

1st day back at work

Times flies I m bk at work on 24 sep. Being a ftwm it wasn't easy to breastfeed. Beside nite feeding at nite I need to wash the bottle and prepares the next day milk for my mil if hubby is working.

Luckily hubby is nt working that day. He volunteer to do the nite feeding. I can at least slp for few more hr. But bcos of breastfeeding I still need to wake up either to latch or pump.

Toilet training

After weeks of toilet training. Lots of washing & cleaning. Xuanlin can finally go diaperless. I always wanted to toilet train her but its tough for me as I m a full time working mother. My mil spend most of the time with her. She just do not have the energy to train her. Since I m on maternity I hope she can go without diaper before I start work. She know hw to tell us but sometime she jus cannot control and pee on the floor. We hv to keep reminding her and ask if she needs to pee or poo. The moment we turn our head she pee on the floor. Toilet training really need alot of patient and effort. Thanks god we went thru this stage easily. Now she cannot get use of wearing diaper. We only use 1 diaper for the nite and really save us alot of $$$$ on diaper.

Barney space adventure show

It is going to be a busy day for me. I need to bring wei ze for jab in the morning and evening to expo for Barney show.

Had booked the ticket thru sistic 2 months ago for the Barney space adventure. Decided to bring xuan lin there cause i believe she will appreciate it already.

She get excitied whenever she saw the advertisement. So hope she will enjoy it.

I meet Elaine for a quite bite at burger king, cause we hv to be seated by 7.30pm. We get ourselves seated at abt 7.35pm. The hall suddenly turn dark and music starts, elaine's girl starts crying. Think she is afraid of dark and loud music. Elaine tried to calm her down but can't. In order nt to frighten hui further and disturb other people she has no choice but to leave the hall.

After they left 2 seats were empty. I can see xuanlin do enjoy the show thru out. Luckily money spend is all worth. Glad that she loves it. Seeing other kids holding torchligt and Barney soft toy I decided to get for her too.

1st 6 in 1 jab

Appointment was fix on 09 sep. Hubby is on morning shift. Need my mil to accompany me along. Doesn't want to bring Xuan lin cause she just recovered from flu. I called up my SIS to help and look after her while me & mil bring wei ze to the polyclinic.

Weight 5.68kg and height 61cm at 13wks. Weight didn't gain much but at least not decreasing. Hopefully he can drink more milk and put on more in another month time.

Desktop to laptop

Finally decide to change my 4 yrs old DELL desktop to a new HP laptop.

Received an sms notification on upcoming IT fair comex 2010. Decide to go and see if there are any gd deal. I went on the last day with my sis and leace xuan lin and wei ze wih my mum. The place is very packed and lots of dealer and gd deal offer. Already set my mind on getting HP model. In the end I bought a laptop from HP booth, hard drive for my photo and ink for my canon printer. Total damage today $1044 + $99 + $55.

Wei ze's is 3mths old on 04/09

Time files... I left with 3 more wks of maternity leave. Very fast I will be going bk to work. Looking forward to this day but yet can't bear to leave my boy and girl at hm.

Wei ze starts to recognize people. He loves to smiles whenever we call his name. His smiles has brighten up my day.

He knw hw to put both hand together.
His neck is abit stronger but still cant hold his head for long.
He loves to sucks his fists and finger.
He is trying to flip when we put him lying flat.

Latest stash

Today i get hubby to help and rearrange those milk in the freezer. Saw a mummy blog on hw she pack and label. I get alot of transparent plastics bag from ntuc. Will use the plastics bag to put 6pkts of fbm and label on the plastics bag as 1st in 1st out, last in last out sequent. At least nw I got no problem in finding those milk that are going to expire soon. And my freezer definitely looks neater and more organise. As of today i hv got more than 90 pkts of fbm. Will transfer some over to the new freezer tml and hope the mummy can come and collect the 30pkts of bm.

Sophie the giraffe

After reading how good sophia the giraffe are i intend to get one for wei ze. I manage to get it from a mummy at $30. Bp selling price was $33 incl postage. Hope wei ze's will like his new friend.

Tecno Chest Freezer TCF-148

After long consideration I decided to get a 2nd hand freezer. Main reason for getting the freezer is because I really got no more space to store my ebm and the other thing is I find that it is not really good to store those milk with fish and meat. I m afraid that wei ze will nt like the unpleasant taste of those milk. Personally i find it cleaner and lesser chance of contaminated. Bought the freezer at $200 incl $40 delivery chrg.

Hectic day

It is really not easy to look after a 28mths toddler and 2mths old bb. I spend almost half a day with both of them and get the housework done without any help.

Mil went out when both of them are taking their nap. 30mins ltr xuanlin woke up and I haven't even start mopping. After awhile didi woke up as well. I give him pacificer and see if he can get bk to slp. Continue with my mopping while I let both of them stays on their bed. I carried xuanlin out and want her to stay on the sofa so that I can faster finish. Wei ze start crying I hv to carry him out and let him sit on his bouncer. Xuanlin want me to wash up for her because she poo poo alrdy. I hv no choice but to let didi cry for awhile then prepare his mik after washing cheh cheh. Feed wei ze and he starts to poo while drinking. I hv to burp him and let him sit upright before changing him. My day is full of cleaning, washing, feeding. I still left with 2 toilets to wash I cant even go and bath and express milk without anyone ard. Mil came bk at abt 5.30pm then I can pump milk, wash toilets and bath.

Wonder hw my mil going to handle 2 of them when I m bk to work on October.

Making purée is such a breeze

Had finally decide to get the Philip combined steamer & blender. We went to taka bb fair and saw that the blender are selling at $159. Usual price is $199. Called Elaine immediately to see if there are taka voucher to let go at 10% discount. She helps me to get $200 voucher at $180.

With this blender making purée is such a breeze. Simply steam the food, flip and blend. Unlike xuanlin time we hv to steam and use a food maker to blender the food. I would strongly recommend this to FTWM, cause really helps to save alot of time preparing nutrition food for ur bb and parts are easy to wash too.

Milk strike

Wei ze's has been drinking very little milk as compared to some of the june baby. Some bb younger than him already drinking 180ml but he is still drinking 110ml. Sometime even lesser than that. Alot of times I have ritheow away whole bottle of fresh milk.

I have been able to meet his demand and at the rate going I need to store those milk which is express out before 24hrs. Seem that he prefer to sleep than drink. That makes me worried if his intake is too little.

Wei ze's is 2mths old on 04 Aug

Time files which mean that I am left with few more weeks of maternity leave. Anyway I m going to extend my leave till early oct.

Some updates on wei ze

He is really an angel. I love him so much. He is so different from cheh cheh. His routine is drink, sleep, drink, sleep. Maybe is because we intro him pacificer earlier and we dun spolit him by carrying. He can easily fall asleep on the bouncer. Xuanlin always want bao bao and once we put her down to the cot she will start to cry. She really give mr a hard time. Wei ze love to smile just like his cheh cheh. He start to recognize faces. He starts to makes noises like eeee, ooooo, uhhhhhh....

Cheh cheh simply dote on Di Di

People alway says 1st one girl, 2nd one boy is good. Because chech chech will love and dote on didi more.

Well so far xuanlin dun feel jealous or do something to attract our attention. She knew that we need to give more attention to didi. She will help to pass me all the things needed whenever I changes didi. So sweet of her rite? Besides that she loves to take picture with didi and even want to carry him. Every morning she will come into my room and see if her didi is awake, and always want us to place him on the bouncer so that she can talk and play with him. Xuanlin really grown up alot and she really sayang her didi. Hopefully she will continue to love and care for her little bro.

Mommy breastmilk

I only manage to breastfeed xuanlin for 6 months, cause on the 1st mth I found a lump on my right breast which lead to infection. I need to take panadol and dare not give the milk to bb. I pump and throw away. Almost used up all the fbm that i stock up. Milk flow decrease after the incident. And my supply totally stop after 6 months.

With pass experience i am more cautious this time. I will pump out excess milk after latched to build up my supply and to prevent engrogement. I will also massage my breast regularly in case of blocked duct. My freezer stash are full of fbm. I got at least 60pkts inside and had just given away 30pkts to a mummy. Milk supply is not high but still can catch up wei ze's demand. I can yield 200ml with 3-4hrs interval.

I wanted to breadtfeed for at least a year. Hope supply can be more stabilise before i go bk to work on oct.

Shave & Cut

On 24 jul we bring wei ze to shave his hair. Suppose to shave it on his full mth but bil pick this date to shave and cut his nails. After bathing him we bought him to my pil & mum plc for the 1st time. He is a lucky chap total gotten 6 red pkts from both grandparents.

And I can only cut his super long nails while he is asleep at my mum plc. We had our dinner before heading bk hm. It is alittle tough to bring a baby and a toddler out nw :(( guess I need to confine myself at hm until they r older.
