Today i get hubby to help and rearrange those milk in the freezer. Saw a mummy blog on hw she pack and label. I get alot of transparent plastics bag from ntuc. Will use the plastics bag to put 6pkts of fbm and label on the plastics bag as 1st in 1st out, last in last out sequent. At least nw I got no problem in finding those milk that are going to expire soon. And my freezer definitely looks neater and more organise. As of today i hv got more than 90 pkts of fbm. Will transfer some over to the new freezer tml and hope the mummy can come and collect the 30pkts of bm.

Sophie the giraffe

After reading how good sophia the giraffe are i intend to get one for wei ze. I manage to get it from a mummy at $30. Bp selling price was $33 incl postage. Hope wei ze's will like his new friend.

Tecno Chest Freezer TCF-148

After long consideration I decided to get a 2nd hand freezer. Main reason for getting the freezer is because I really got no more space to store my ebm and the other thing is I find that it is not really good to store those milk with fish and meat. I m afraid that wei ze will nt like the unpleasant taste of those milk. Personally i find it cleaner and lesser chance of contaminated. Bought the freezer at $200 incl $40 delivery chrg.

Hectic day

It is really not easy to look after a 28mths toddler and 2mths old bb. I spend almost half a day with both of them and get the housework done without any help.

Mil went out when both of them are taking their nap. 30mins ltr xuanlin woke up and I haven't even start mopping. After awhile didi woke up as well. I give him pacificer and see if he can get bk to slp. Continue with my mopping while I let both of them stays on their bed. I carried xuanlin out and want her to stay on the sofa so that I can faster finish. Wei ze start crying I hv to carry him out and let him sit on his bouncer. Xuanlin want me to wash up for her because she poo poo alrdy. I hv no choice but to let didi cry for awhile then prepare his mik after washing cheh cheh. Feed wei ze and he starts to poo while drinking. I hv to burp him and let him sit upright before changing him. My day is full of cleaning, washing, feeding. I still left with 2 toilets to wash I cant even go and bath and express milk without anyone ard. Mil came bk at abt 5.30pm then I can pump milk, wash toilets and bath.

Wonder hw my mil going to handle 2 of them when I m bk to work on October.

Making purée is such a breeze

Had finally decide to get the Philip combined steamer & blender. We went to taka bb fair and saw that the blender are selling at $159. Usual price is $199. Called Elaine immediately to see if there are taka voucher to let go at 10% discount. She helps me to get $200 voucher at $180.

With this blender making purée is such a breeze. Simply steam the food, flip and blend. Unlike xuanlin time we hv to steam and use a food maker to blender the food. I would strongly recommend this to FTWM, cause really helps to save alot of time preparing nutrition food for ur bb and parts are easy to wash too.

Milk strike

Wei ze's has been drinking very little milk as compared to some of the june baby. Some bb younger than him already drinking 180ml but he is still drinking 110ml. Sometime even lesser than that. Alot of times I have ritheow away whole bottle of fresh milk.

I have been able to meet his demand and at the rate going I need to store those milk which is express out before 24hrs. Seem that he prefer to sleep than drink. That makes me worried if his intake is too little.

Wei ze's is 2mths old on 04 Aug

Time files which mean that I am left with few more weeks of maternity leave. Anyway I m going to extend my leave till early oct.

Some updates on wei ze

He is really an angel. I love him so much. He is so different from cheh cheh. His routine is drink, sleep, drink, sleep. Maybe is because we intro him pacificer earlier and we dun spolit him by carrying. He can easily fall asleep on the bouncer. Xuanlin always want bao bao and once we put her down to the cot she will start to cry. She really give mr a hard time. Wei ze love to smile just like his cheh cheh. He start to recognize faces. He starts to makes noises like eeee, ooooo, uhhhhhh....

Cheh cheh simply dote on Di Di

People alway says 1st one girl, 2nd one boy is good. Because chech chech will love and dote on didi more.

Well so far xuanlin dun feel jealous or do something to attract our attention. She knew that we need to give more attention to didi. She will help to pass me all the things needed whenever I changes didi. So sweet of her rite? Besides that she loves to take picture with didi and even want to carry him. Every morning she will come into my room and see if her didi is awake, and always want us to place him on the bouncer so that she can talk and play with him. Xuanlin really grown up alot and she really sayang her didi. Hopefully she will continue to love and care for her little bro.

Mommy breastmilk

I only manage to breastfeed xuanlin for 6 months, cause on the 1st mth I found a lump on my right breast which lead to infection. I need to take panadol and dare not give the milk to bb. I pump and throw away. Almost used up all the fbm that i stock up. Milk flow decrease after the incident. And my supply totally stop after 6 months.

With pass experience i am more cautious this time. I will pump out excess milk after latched to build up my supply and to prevent engrogement. I will also massage my breast regularly in case of blocked duct. My freezer stash are full of fbm. I got at least 60pkts inside and had just given away 30pkts to a mummy. Milk supply is not high but still can catch up wei ze's demand. I can yield 200ml with 3-4hrs interval.

I wanted to breadtfeed for at least a year. Hope supply can be more stabilise before i go bk to work on oct.

Shave & Cut

On 24 jul we bring wei ze to shave his hair. Suppose to shave it on his full mth but bil pick this date to shave and cut his nails. After bathing him we bought him to my pil & mum plc for the 1st time. He is a lucky chap total gotten 6 red pkts from both grandparents.

And I can only cut his super long nails while he is asleep at my mum plc. We had our dinner before heading bk hm. It is alittle tough to bring a baby and a toddler out nw :(( guess I need to confine myself at hm until they r older.

FinaLise oN bb naMe

Take almost a month to get his name and birth cert done. Well there are some hiccup on choosing bb names. This master was recommended by my bil. We sign up his service thru online. Beside naming he has additional service like meeting up with us to analysis on the ba zi and a little bit on how is bb character etc.

I see thru the names and can't find any to my liking. They even make a mistake on the names. Hubby called them up to clarified. Luckily my bil know abit on this. He helps to double confirm the stroke again. He confirmed sth is wrong and want to go bk to the master. We decided to go for 2nd opinion and ask for a refund.

Going back to Tao mao bi. Cos 2yrs ago we get their naming service for xuan lin.

While waited for a day and we got the names from Tao mao bi. Again bil check and found sth is wrong. He called up and checked. Is because different way of explaination. Mix and match the character ourself and choosen this name Chen Wei Ze.

2nD dOse Hep B jAb aT pOLycLiniC

The 1st one was given at tmc on day 2. And all vaccination will be done at either pd or polyclinic.

I called and make an apptm for the hep b jab at tpy polyclinic. As 1st dose and 2nd dose must be at least a month gap.

It was pouring I hv to quickly bath him and give him milk before we go out.

We doesn't hv to wait for very long. Nurses check on him and says that he look yellowish. Advised to let doctor check before taking the jab. Felt so heartpain to see them drawing his blood.

We waited for half an hr for the result and yes his jaundice level are still above normal range.

He agreed to let him take the jab and want us to cone back a week ltr to check again.

fuLL mOnth ceLeBration oN 3 JuLy

Anyway Jie Jie has it so to be fair I will hold one for di di as well.

This time round I invited my close friends and colleague. I am happy that all manage to turn up.

I ordered Neo garden catering and cake from sweetest moments for relatives I like their personlized bb card and lots of package to choose from.

A big thanks to all the well wishes, gifts and red packet.

cOnFinEmenT mOnth

Discharge from the hospial on 6 June. Since is a sunday my mum and mil still can help to look after bb and cook for me. I called up the confinement lady and ask her to come on monday instead.

I let bb slp with her so that I can rest and is easier for her to feed him.

Overall I find her ok. She will boiled water for me to brush teeth and wash face. Make Milo for my breakfast then she will cook mee sua or bee hoon for brunch after my massage. Lunch she will either cook vege, fish, meat or soup and same for dinner.

Advantage of getting CL is I dun hv to do washing like pump and bottles. She even help me with the night feed. Luckily my supply came in on day 4.

But hubby always dislike a stranger at home. He find her cooking normal, unhygienic and lazy. Mil says she is very slow in cooking.

The arriVaL of oUr Baby Boy

Yes is abit out dated. I m trying to lcatch up with some of the post here. Anyway here are my birth story.

04 June

3am - can't get into deep sleep. frequent toilet visit and was having mild contraction the whole nite

6am - hubby woke up and tell him that i m having contraction. started to time and was 5-7 mins interval.

7am - hubby need to go back office even though is his off day. told him it might be real contraction cause the feeling is almost the same as i had 2yrs ago. he ask me to monitor and anything contact him immediately.

8am - contraction still at 5-7 mins interval. pain are bearable.

8.45am - had my breakfast and bath just in case i might go into labour anytime.

9am - ask my sis to accompany me to the doctor. I called the clinic on the cab to inform them about my condition. Last checkup was on Monday. On ctg but no contraction at that time. Dr Wong didnt check dilation also.

9.15am - Dr Wong not around and ctg room was occupied. I waited at the clinic for 15mins. Until the nurse came and touched my tummy. She commented that my tummy is very tight ask me to go labour ward directly.

9.30am - went down to labour ward. was put on ctg. contraction was regular and did VE. I was surprise when the nurse said i am 3cm dilated. My sister have to wait for me at the visitor area. My bag and hp are with her. So called her in and sms to my hubby.

9.45am - Change into the hospital gown and clear bowel. Thereafter was directed to the labour ward. Kind of nervous cause don't know if hubby can make it on time. He has to rush back home to take my hospital bag.

10am - lying on the bed and wait for hubby to come. was talking to a few nurses.

11am - Dr Wong came in and break my waterbag. I was only 4cm dilated. I asked her roughly take how long to dilate fully. She replied if fast will be an hour time.

11.15am - Hubby came. Contraction still bearable but is getting more intense.

11.50am - Cannot tahan anymore and ask for laughing gas. Ask the nurses to check and was alrdy 7cm.

12.10pm - Nurses use her finger to soften the cervix so that it will dilate faster. I was having the urge to push but afraid of tear. When she say 9cm dilated.

12.20pm - Gynae came, about 2 pushes bb is out.

New blog for 2010

Decide to create a new blog and start blogging again. Meanwhile will try to import all old blog when i got time. I am not a regular blogger but will try to update as much using iPhone since I have purchased the apps blogpress today.
