1st visit to Singapore Flyer on 06 Nov 09

Hubby booked the Singapore flyers months ago. Unfortunately he was unable to apply leave due to upcoming apec @ spore. I took leave on that day and bought xuan lin and mil down to hubby office at about 5pm.

1st time we visited police cantonment complex. Beside the security i think overall still acceptable. Me & mil waited at the cafeteria, whereas hubby bring xuan lin to his office.

Thereafter we decided to take a cab there as it is drizzling. We have difficulties to get a cab at CBD area and furthermore is after working hr. Hubby suggest we walk to SGH as there might have more cabs.

Reaches there at about 7plus and when for dinner. We decided to go for simple one and ended at Popeyes chicken & biscuit. They serves fried chicken like KFC.

When up to the flyer after dinner. Took few pictures and really find nothing much accept night view. Most importantly xuan lin do enjoy the excursion.

1st visit to the gynae

I m very fed up with Dr Phyllis Liauw. I make appointment to see her months ago and yet she last min called up on the day of appointment and said that she can't attend to me as she got an emergency opt. The lady over the phone ask me to reschedule. She said usually Dr Liauw don't attend to new patient on saturday. What the "F"?!?! If patient cannot make it on wkday. Then no choice she got to choose wkend. I m super angry over this matter.

What can i say? Apparently, I m not very pleased with their services as well. So discuss with hubby over this matter. I told him i want to go bk to Dr Adeline Wong. At least she got my past record and i feel more comfortable with her and her assistants.

Called up Adeline's clinic on Monday 02 Nov 09 and check if there are available slot this fri. Jolene who are very friendly she offered me a slot in the afternoon 4.15pm as fri are all taken up long ago. I decided to book the 4.15pm slot and ask for time off to go.

Surprisingly my boss allow and even want me to finish my appriasal before i leave. 3 moths probation has over. I was very happy and grateful that he didn't prolong my probation when he knew that i m pregnant. At least nw i don't hv to hide my tummy anymore.

After my appriasal with my boss i rushed cab down to tmc with hubby. We reached there at about 4.30pm. My weight is 51.5kg @ 8wks. Waited for 15mins before we get to see Adeline Wong. She check my edd base on my last menses is 14 June 2010. But scanning will be more accurate base on size. BB is 1.7cm and i saw the heartbeat blinking fast on the monitor. So happy and relieve to know that everything is well. On the scan the edd bring forward to 11 June 2010. I pray hard that my bb grow & develop well in mummy's tummy.

Princess is 18moths old on 09 Oct 09

Hasn't been taken picture of xuanlin recently. I m either feeling restless or too tired to do anything. What are xuanlin achievement in 18mths.

1) She can eat & drink on her own
2) She like to play masak masak
3) She will open up all the cabinet and search for food to eat
4) She will stick to the person she spend most of time with
5) She know how to say abcdefg...
6) She is picking up new thing rapidly

Hunting for Gynae

Hubby decided not to go to Adelina Wong this round. He wants to get a gynae who are either born in the year of dog or horse to deliver his bao bei. Well, he will do the research since he is on annual leave.

After a day of research he shortlisted WK Tan & Phyllis Liauw. Both female gynae of course. I still prefer to have a female gynae. We felt that WK Tan is very popular and queue and waiting time is killing. So we decided to go to Phyllis Liauw this round. Called and make appointment on 05 Nov 09. Which is 8wks plus... Hope to see my baby....

Xuan lin going to be Jie Jie soon!!!

It was a planned pregnancy and yes i strike on the 3rd attempt.

I tested a very faint line on CD26. Could be my hcg level is lower that why i can only see a very faint line. Well, i tested again on CD27, CD28 and the line become darker. Decided to confirm with a clearblue digital kit.

We left xuanlin at my mum place on sunday. Me and hubby went bk home to do housework after our bfast at market. We headed to toa payoh watson wanted to get kodomo wipes since only $1.95 per pkt and buy 10 get 1 free. But they do not have stock so in the end just get the kit.

Went to my mum place after that. I open up the kit and tested at my mum plc. Was super anxious even thought i already know the result. After 30 sec of blink on the kit it shows "PREGNANT".

My princess is 17 mths old on 09 Sep

My mil is getting busy nowadays. Xuanlin will run to the kitchen open up all the cabinet and take out all the stuffs and play. She will take out all the plastic bowl and learn cooking. She like to go into my mbr toilet & common toilet. I will scold her whenever she goes into the toilet without me knowing. And she got a bad habit of switching on/off the electicity power. Repeated so many times yet she still does it. She don't listen and is very stubborn. Until her daddy scold her then she will go and look for her ah mah

She is rather independent. She want to eat and drink on her own, but i m afraid that she will mess up the whole place. She will open up the shoe cabinet and take out her shoe whenever we told her gai gai. Overall she still a obedient girl and really understand what we say. Beside that i think she is really spoilt by her grandparent. She can pronouce "bear bear", "ball ball" & "moo moo" her milk bottle.

Officially start walking on 16m & 5d

Finally! after 16m 5d xuanlin can stand up on her own and walk around the house like a little adult. This is the day that we've been waiting for and glad that she has decided to walk liao! Eversince she started walking, it also means we are getting busy. Cos she will walk around the house to take a peek at the kitchen or ask for food or follow us around the house. Also she doesn't sit still to watch tv unless it is her favourite mickey mouse clubhouse show. Every morning she will want my mil to switch on the tv for her.

My princess is 16mths old on 09 Aug

I have been very lazy updating my blog.

Xuanlin favourite hobby now is dancing and singing! She will dance + action + sing along when she hear the songs like incy wincy spider, old macdonald, twinkle twinkle little stars etc.

Other significant progress was her vocabs! She know and can say apple, clock, star, bag, bye, shoes, cat, dog, milk, ball, fish, banana. She call my dad "Ah Gong" and my mum "Ah Mah" and daddy as "Pa Pa" and last but not least "Ma Ma" Xuanlin can also understand instructions like

1. "Go and wear your shoes shoes" and she'll walk towards the door and sat down waiting for someone to put on the shoes
2. She like to watch advertisement. e.g. ribena, hollick.
3. She will take her bottle to the sink aft she finish her milk
4. She will tell us when she is tired and wan to go to bed.
5. She will wave and say hi or bye to anyone including teddy bear & her canvas hanging on the wall.

Lastly, she is a typical girl cos she can multitask!! She can watch tv and put the coins into her piggy bank!! :D

Our 1st trip to the Zoo

Hubby manage to book the zoo corporate pass on a wkend. So we decide to bring xuanlin to the zoo on saturday morning. I ask my mum & sis to come along cos we can have a free entrance for 4 pax. We woke up early in the morning to prepare xuan lin food & pack her clothes.

We reach there at abt 9.30am and ended before 4pm. Still manage to cover most of the area and get to see alot of animals in the zoo. It was a tiring day but i believe xuanlin did enjoy herself. I m sure we will bring her back to the zoo soon.

My Princess is 15 mths old on 09 Jul 09

Another mth has past. I m still waiting for xuan lin to walk on her own. She still prefer to crawl than walk.

So what are Xuan Lin achievement @ 15th mth:

1. She know how to nod her head or shake her head when i ask her if she is a good girl!
2. She loves to snatch the spoon to do self feeding4.
3. She know how to throw tantrums now!!!

5. She likes to learn new things. She will ask me to show her flash card every day.

2nd Father's Day

Did not have celebration cause i totally forgotten last sunday was Father's Day.

Didn't prepare any pressie nor dinner that night. As usual go over to my mum place for dinner. Nobody has mentioned about Father's Day and i thought it was just a normal sunday.

Haiz....it is true that my memory got worst after i give birth. Personally felt that more ppl celebrate Mother's Day than Father's Day.

But anyway really feel so sorry for my dad & hubby....

Xuan Lin is talking and her first words are Papa

I was out with elaine & crystal for dinner that night.

Even though i am not the 1st one to hear what she called.

But once i reached home that night. My mil and hubby told me immediately.

Thereafter she will only called papa when we ask her to call.

I’m so glad about it and looking forward to hear more from her.

Maybe she would say "Mummy" tomorrow? Let's see...

PC show 11 - 14 Jun

Meet my sis to pc show on friday evening. Again hubby need to work nite shift. Decide to go there and take phamplet and to see if got any trade in deal for a laptop. Was aiming for Canon IXUS camera and HP laptop. There are too many brand and model to choose from. Need to discuss with hubby which model to get and do some comparsion before getting.

Went back to Suntec on the last day of pc show. Aft discussing with hubby on Saturday, I decide to get camera instead cause we really need a good camera. As for laptop we don't need a laptop for the time begining as my desktop still working well.

It was very crowded esp on last day. Ask my mum and xuanlin to wait out while me, hb and sis go in and get whatever we want. I decded to get the Canon IXUS 110IS golden color @ $519 after a deduction of $30 voucher and freebie exclude 2 x 8GB sd card, 1 digital cam kit, 1 card reader.

My Princess is 14mths Old on 09 Jun 09

Received a shocking news from my boss that i will be retrench. They no need so many head count after off shoring project to jakarta. And i was told that the company will place me on the transfer list for a mth and another mth notice. So my last day should be on Aug. I was quite upset cause w/o a job that mean i will not have a monthly paid. Which mean that i need to spend wisely can't just buy whatever i want.

Let talk about something happy. Xuan Lin is 14mths old. And after receiving this news i got no mood to take pic again :(...

So what is Xuan Lin milestone on 14mths:

1) Xuan Lin will have alot of different expression. She like to make funny face
2) She knows eat bread and biscuit on her own. Daddy will peel small pc of bread and she will use her finger to take and eat on her own
3) She will place her hand on her chest and tell us she is scare of something
4) She has a good memory. Whatever we say she will remember whether is in mandarin, english or teochew
5) She will cried if she is left behind at my mum plc.
6) She will let us knw if she is full by showing the T sign.
7) She knows that after her milk at night she will have to brush her teeth

I m still waiting anxiously for Xuan Lin to walk on her own....

Last trial @ LNT 06 Jun

When for the last trial lessons aft a long break. Reason because xuan lin has been falling sick ever since we enrolled her for the trial lesson. Don't really know what cause her bronchiti!?! Could be airbond virus or the weather is real bad. So hubby and I has decide not to bring her out for the moment.

Hubby told me that he need to go back office for a trial session in the morning. But he received a call from his boss asking him to replace 1 of his colleague which was suppose to be on 24 hrs tour. He only need to replace him for half tour.

My mum and my sis is attending my cousin's daughter full-mth celebration. I told my mum that i need to bring xuan lin for the last trial lesson and she decide to go with me and not to attend the celebration.

Last lesson was a japanese class. The teacher like xuan lin so much. Keep telling my mum that she is very kawaii neah... Before that had discuss with hubby whether if we should sign up f or a term. And final decision by him is not to continue :(

Photogenic Baby Contest

Lately saw this online magazine and there is a photo contest. So i have decided to submit this time cos the results will be determined by the judges and not by polling via online. I dislike contest that need to pull crowd to contribute to the votes.

On the 8 Jun 09, i received an email subject "Photogenic baby photo contest voting start from today". What the heck is it all about? I thought results is determined by the judge instead of polling vote?!? Then i quickly email the organiser that i m not very unhappy about this. In the 1st place the magazine did not state is by polling vote and if i knw i will not even submit my application. The reply from the organiser is that they can't remove xuan lin pic as it will affect the voting result. And say that they would like to publish xuan lin pic on the beautiful baby for July issue. Whatever it is i truly believe by polling vote is unfair. If they won doesn't that mean that their baby is photogenic and those that didn't won means that their baby is not photogenic? I always feel that my Xuan Lin is the most photogenic baby in this world. Wahahahaha :p

My 2nd Mother's Day

This year Mother's Day fall on 10th May which is one day before Hubby birthday. 1 yr ago xuan lin was only 1mth old. Now she is alrdy 13mths old. Well, i planned to get something for both my mum and mil but end up i do not hv the time to go and source for it.

So going our for lunch on the 11th may will be just nice for us. This day is also our 3rd yr wedding anniversary cum hubby 34th Birthday cum belated Mother's day. I was off on that day due to replacement of holiday in lieu which fall on sat.

My mil told us that she doesn't want to join us. Only get to know from my mum when i called her early in the morning that she need to help out at my dad store as her helper is sick. Since it was planned earlier we shall go ahead with our plan.

Its started to pour in the morning and we need to delay our outing until the rain stop. Hubby wanted to bring xuanlin to waterloo st temple to offer prayer before we headed down to suntec city for our lunch. I called and make reservation at kushin bo. Took up the 60mins deal buffet and we both r stuff with food. Also gave Xuanlin some ginseng porridge and salmon fish. Thereafter we went to toy r us and see if we can get some toys for xuanlin.

My Princess is 13mths Old on 09 May 09

I have been getting very lazy to take out my camera to shoot sheerin. Esp after her 1st birthday. This is very bad...i should hv at least take a few pic of her. Ok must try to convince hubby to get a good camera. I was eyeing on Canon IXUS 110 IS. Hope will hv some good deal on the upcoming pc show @ suntec. I had taken a few pic of xuan lin using my hp. Shall upload it soon.

Let see what are her achievement on 13mths

1) She can walk around the hse with the support of wall and cupboard
2) She knows where is her neck and shoulder
3) She will lift up her arm when i say arm-up
4) She roar like a tiger when i show her the flash card
5) She knows that toilet is for bathing and poo poo
6) She will us her finger and scrape her palm and tell us she wants to eat apple

Desaru Trip with 2 buddies on 30 April

It was a pleasant trip with both my buddies Crystal & Elaine. We had fun even though it was just 2D 1N trip. Our purpose of organising this trip is to hv a short break and get away to enjoy a full body massage during this long wkend. Initial plan is to go bintan. After discussing with both of them, we decided to go for desaru instead as crystal said it will be ex if we go bintan and money spend there are all in US$.

We booked ticket 1 month ago before departure. After that i felt quite bad as i need to take urgent leave on 30 April on the last day meaning i need to leave my only colleague behind doing all the work. But anyway it was planned few mth back and ticket has already booked.

3 of us meet at bedok early in the morning. Thereafter we go for our breakfast at mcdonald and then take a taxi down to changi ferry terminal. We rched desaru at abt 1 plus check in and leave our luggage in the room. Went down to check out if we can start our body massage early and also get to know that the resort has some activites like fire fly, seafood treat, fruit farm, kampong visit.

Aft the 60mins of massage we'll felt hungry and went to the only restaurant for our lunch.We also arrange seafood for dinner that night. The restaurant will have a driver to pick us up at the resort and send us back.

Find that desaru is quite a boring place. We had nothing to do aft returning to the resort after our seafood feast. We wanted to get playing card but the shop closed so we rented some board game and play in our room.

Well, lastly i will not return to desaru again.

Xuan Lin is Sick :((

Xuan Lin has fallen sick and all I want for now is to focus on her.

Here's how it goes... She keep sneezing and having runny nose on 20 April (Monday). So i gave her flu medicine and hope she will get well soon. She become very cranky and cannot sleep well. She woke up in the middle of the nite, i gave her milk and change her wet diaper. Thereafter i realise that she developed a fever. So i fed her panadol & flu medicine again. The fever subside in the morning before i goes to work. Ask my mil to monitor and inform me if she feel unwell.

At abt 4plus my mil called me and ask me if i can rush back home immediately. She said xuan lin is feeling abit breathless and wheezing badly. I get worried and faster called hubby which was suppose to come back early in the afternoon. He faster rushed back home and see if xuan lin is alright. I called Dr Ong clinic and was told that is closed for the day, after that i tried calling Spore baby clinic at amk and was told that they are fully booked. No choice last resort is to bring her to tmc as there is a night clinic until 9.30pm.

I rush back home aft work and bring xuan lin to tmc with hubby. The PD said xuan lin is suffering from acute brochities and will lead to asthma if diagnose delay. She asked why did we bring her to see doctor when she alrdy feeling so breathless. Problem is she only started coughing in the afternoon. Dr Ang Ai Tin wants her to admitted immediately. And was given nebuiliser immediatley in the clinic while we hv to do the necessary admission paperwork & payment.

I was told to wait outside the treatment room and all I could do is to stare into the blank wall and hear her painful cries from the room. It’s heartbreaking and terrible to see how she cries and suffer in pain while the doctors and nurses insert the tubes into her. The course of antibiotics started without any delay and Xuan lin was struggling much when the first dose came.

I leave Xuan Lin with my mum & sis when me and hubby went back and packed some clothing, diaper & milk. I will be staying in the hospital with xuan lin.

I just hope she’ll not have to go through all painful procedures again.

I received a voucher from kids coverlook when i request for milk sample from mamil gold. It was a complimentary 1st yr photoshooting. Bought her for the shooting at United Sq on 24 April. After nearly 2mths of wait i received a call from them that the picture is ready for collection.

LNT 1st trail session

I decided to let xuan lin to take up a trail session from little neuro tree. Was being convince by the director Mr Leong to bring xuan lin to POMO previous known as paradize centre. Before that i thought that the tpy branches will be nearer to us. She had her 1st session on the 18 April 09. Total 3 trails lessons given in english, chinese & japanese. She had her 1st english class and did really see her enjoying herself. Hope she will benefit and gain some knowledge from these enrichment classes.

My Precious Princess is officially 1 on 09 April 09

Xuanlin turned 1yr on 09 april 2009. And it is time to change her formula milk to step 3. Hopefully she will like the taste and will hv no problem with it.

Here are Xuan Lin 1 year old milestone
1)She is able to pull herself up and stand
2)She can stand up on the the sofa w/o support for few sec
3)She knows where is the TV, fan, table & chair in the house
4)She knows where is nose, eye & ear
5)She knows where is tummy, hair and leg
6)She knows all the animal that is in the zoo shape block
7)She will use her hand and place it near her ear when we say "where is xuan lin phone"?

It's a simple & special 1st Bday Celebration

It wasn't easy to organise a party. Somemore mine is only a small one for own family members.

Hubby was on leave for 2 wks. And i m applying leave as well. Had arrange to collect the helium tank on 8april and return it on the 9april aft the event. I went to ICA to collect my new PP that morning. Had schedule my appointment at 9am. I reach there at abt 9.02am and i get a queue no. immed, waited less than 5mins my no. was called. So waiting hr is pretty short for me. Mil need to go back home and prepare some food for the party tonite. So the nite before me and hubby already hang up the giant banner and put up table clothes. While xuan lin doesn't want to take nap at all, think she sense that there is a celebration for her. I finally make her to bed at about 12plus. Me and hb can finally do up the deco. I was very angry when i inflate the 1st piglet balloon. Well the helium come with a nostril and was told to insert the balloon and tail the nostril. Hubby wanted to help me on the very 1st mylar and while pumping half way i sense that we need to stop but hb just dun bother wat i say and keep pulling the nostril and pump. Aloud "bump" there goes my $10 piglet. I guess he really dun knw tail to let the gas in and let go to stop.

Hubby went to return the helium tank at centrepoint while he is on his way to ttsh for review. I sms this rena from cupcakedivinity to send me a pic of the cake at about 3pm before my courier svc pickup from her. Instead of email she mms me. I was pretty upset over the cake as i wanted a pink color rather than the usual green cake :(. I called rena immediately she said need to take 1hr to change to pink. If i insist to change to pink what abt xuan lin name? Will it be pink as well? Then the whole cake will look very pinky which i doesn't want. In the end i can't do anything but to accept it. At abt 3plus my mum and sis carry alot of food over to my plc. HWhile i was bathing xuan lin at 5plus, julie delivered the cake to my door step.

My mum & mil will be cooking. We are all stuff with a lot of good food. Overall, it is a successful one. We did enjoy ourselve.. :)

All about Collages

I have been spending quite sometime using powerpoint to do up the 1st yr collage on Xuan Lin. I tried uploading the collage onto my blog but failed cause i can't convert to jpg file. So i decide to re-do using picasa. Picasa is easy to use and it helps to organise all my photos in the desktop. Difficulties in doing the 1st yr collages is sorting pictures.... :)

A year ago

One year ago...

I was still in Thomas Medical Centre holding my new born baby in my arms.
The feelings of being a new mom is indescribable. Nervous but yet happy!
As new parents we learnt out the nursing part and how to take care of a baby.

She adds rainbow kind of colorful smiles to our families.
She glow and shine, reflecting all the wonderful things in the world.
She brings warming joys and laughter to us.
She's our precious darling little angel.
We are thankful to the GOD whom had given us the best gift in the world.

Xuan Lin is ONE!!! (Part I outdoor)

We planned to have 2 celebrations for xuan lin. Mummy had make reservation for 8pax at furama riverfront hotel this coming saturday. Daddy had received an email from home affair that furma holder will be riverfront has this promotion for them.

Well was pretty disappoint with the food there as not much variety as compare to the buffet we had eaten at sakura. Think the most attractive part is 1 for 1 only.

Easter Day Hop In

Last fri took half day leave and bring xuan lin to Studioloft for easter day hop in. I rush back home from work to pick her up as my appt is 3pm. I reached hm around 1.45pm and need to pack my stuff and change her. My sis accompany me there as i really cannot handle xuan lin alone. We doesn't need to wait for our turn as not much ppl queuing Well, expect xuanlin to give a good smile like last xmas walk in. But who knows she doesn't smile and she even cry when i place her into the basket. I was pretty upset aft the 1st setting. Not even 1 picture with smile, it really take me a long time to choose 2pictures. Was hoping to get some nice picture for her on 1st birthday. So i requested for another setting with white background. Well, still no smile from her. what happen to her?!?! sigh... really give up but at least i still manage to choose 2 picture which i find acceptable. Wonder where is her smile???? could it be sleepy??? or hungry???

Hui Eleanor 1st Birthday

Time really files....last yr, elaine was still packing her bag and get ready to go hospital for c-sec on the 26march. Today Eleanor is having her 1st birthday celebration. Elaine invited me and crystal to her plc for her 2nd daughter, eleanor 1st birthday party on 22march. It was a simple party with a beautiful 2 tier fondant cake which cost her $200, some balloon & customise banner as decoration. Buffet was suppose to start at 12noon...It was delay as most of the visitor has not arrive. Catering not too bad and the cutting cake ceremony at abt 1.30pm. I promise hb to leave early cos he is looking after xuanlin alone. Me and Crystal shared and bought eleanor a tricycle, activity table & chair and a shape blocking.

Another 2wks we will be our turn celebrating xuan lin 1st birthday. Hope everything turn out well even thought is not a big party for her.

Dad Birthday 15 Mar 09

We had a celebration on last saturday. Had booked dinner at shaw plaza sakura. The sky was overcasting so we leave home early to my mum place to bath xuan lin before we headed to shaw plaza. We didn't push stroller cause we scare that it might get wet... So we take turn to carry xuan lin. Glad that we make the right choice cos there isn't have enough space for us to pack our stroller there. Paid $26+ per pax for the buffet. They serve international food. Not bad except for the nonya kueh & dessert. Xuan lin is not very cooperative and i really had a hard time feeding her. While we enjoyng she make alot of noise and my dad got to carry her after awhile xuan lin fall asleep in his arm.

My dad turn 59 yrs old on last sunday. My mum prepare fried bee hoon, cook curry veggie & grill chicken wing. After dinner still got birthday cake.... I was fill with food last wkend...hw to slim down lidat?!?!

Birthday Gift from Elaine & Crystal

On 08 Mar i received an sms from elaine. Asking what is my address... Her msg was me & crystal has bought sheerin a birthday present. Julie the courier service will deliver to your place this coming wednesday. It was like a surprise...cos i don't intend to hold any party and i really think that they don't have to buy sheerin any present. Since elaine has already bought it and is not very nice of me to reject the gift. Afterall the gift is for my girl not me (crystal said). Wahaha which is true lah.... They got sheerin a fisherprice activity table & pigeon feeding set. Anyway a BIG thank to both my close friends... :))

Stock Up Gu Ni Hoon

Have to switch xuan lin to another stage of milk when she turn 1yr old. I had decided to stick to ENFA since she has no problem with it. While milk powder price keep going up instead of down. I really got a hard time to search for good lobang on enfagrow 1.8kg. I found a post in dec thread that a lady can get cheaper milk direct from supplier. I email her and ask for a quote. She quoted me $47 per tin. So far is the cheapest i can find. I order 12tins in order to get free delivery.

My Princess is 11mths old on 09 Mar

Xuan lin is getting wiser everyday... Now she know who to look for when she want to sleep & who to look for when she wants bread. She is not a fussy eater....everything also eat. But she is rather selfish on sharing food especially when she grab hold on a biscuit or apple. She will even shout and cry if i don't give her.

So what are her achievement @ 11mths?

Another weekend

Meet elaine to go motherhood fair @ expo. She pick me up at adjunied and we headed there. Planned to sign up the motherhood magazine with her before hand. But we realised most of the giveaway hamper already grabbed since 2pm that day and we decided to give it a missed. Well, feel like we have wasted our trip there cause nothing much. Could be because we went there on the 1st day and most of the booth are not set up and ready yet.

Hubby is working 24 hrs again. Our agreement is when he work nite shift i will hv to go bk hm after work to accompany our darling. And because of this fair i went back hm late. Luckily my mil help to look after her. My mum & sis is at my pl to keep my darling company. Poor girl waiting for mummy to go bk and make her sleep.

Surely hubby can only reach hm in the afternoon. Me and xuanlin alone at home. I decided to bring her out to balestier road to view the tricycle that mil said. Of cos with the help of my mum & sis we took bus there. Not a bad tricycle only that they didn't use plastic to wrap up the tricycle and look abit dusty. Wanted to get a neutral colour so that next time can pass down to #2. But the only blue color hanging up there is very dirty i don't have any other choice but to choose pink color. Well the price is $52 so much cheaper than getting at kiddy palace.

Xuan Lin Birthday Pressie

Ever since xuan lin is borned, me and hubby did not buy much toy for her. Has been aiming on this toy for very long. Wanted to get this for her as a xmas gift but after 2nd thought she might be too young for it at that time. So i will be buying this toy for her as a birthday pressie. Hope she will enjoy the new toy that mummy & daddy buy for u. I m looking at the disney 4 in 1 rock & ride activity pooh ride on (left pic) or Step 2 push around buggy (right pic).

Preparation for Xuanlin 1st Birthday

Refer to my earlier post me and hubby decide not to have any party for xuan lin 1st birthday. But since it is my princess 1st birthday i decided to put in some effort in it. Going to make it simple but special day for her. Well, my planning was to go for buffet dinner with family at either furama riverfront or swissotel merchant court on the 04 April (Sat). On the actual day me and hubby will be on leave. So was thinking to have a simple decoration at home and buy some food back for dinner and follow by a simple cake cutting ceremony....

As for cake i did surf net and do some comparsion between ordering from cake shop or online.

After getting quote here and there. Bengawan solo 1kg minnie design cake @ $45. The rest of them provide nice design but min order is 2kg and above which i find it too big for us and price range from $80-$200 depending on design and sizes. Personally i like fondant cake as compare to normal fresh cream cake and price definitely will be more ex. Well i have finalise my design with jess from http://www.cupcakedivinity.blogspot.com/. Theme of the cake will be winnie the pooh theme. Cos winnie the pooh is xuanlin's idol mah. I really hope that the cake turn out to be what i want and more importantly taste good ;) Design wise will be something like the pic shown.

Valentine Day Shoot @ Foto-U

As usual normal saturday to me and hb. Cause we don't celebrate this occasion even before we get married. The only itinery is photoshooting. I signed up the $38 vday promo package provide by foto-u. My appointment with them is from 1.30-2pm. Early in the morning i choose 3 sets of clothes for xuan lin & 2sets for me & hb. We took a cab down to joo chiat and when to one of the coffeeshop for lunch. We was there early and got to wait for another family to finish their shooting. Overall was a pleasant shooting by David Lim. But find that they don't have much setting & props to use. But what to expect hor... $38 only. Subsquently after the shooting is we feed xuanlin in the makeup room and she fall asleep after her milk. The package include:-

1. 30 Minutes sessions.

2. 1 x 8R, 1 x 5R. 4.

3. Selection of all images return in high res @ $50.

My Princess is 10mths old on 09 Feb

On the 9Feb, xuan lin turned 10mths old. When i reach home after work realise that xuanlin is having slight runny nose. At night she become very cranky doesn't want to sleep until 11plus. No matter hw long we pat her or carry her she still refuse to go to bed. She will cry when she is being put down to her cot. Next day i decide to take 1 day leave cause me, hb & mil didn't hv a gd sleep. She started to develop fever & cough. Her appetite drop, milk intake also lesser. haiz...glad that she feel better after taking the medicine given by pd 2mths back. Most probably are sympton of teething... ;((

So what are the minestones @ 10mths?

1. Xuanlin loves to kneel and hold on to her bedrail and stand up with support

2. She likes to eat her dinner with us at the dinning table

3. She will close & open her palm when saying bye to anyone

4. She starts to teething and drooling alot

5. She got 2 whitish teeths coming out from her lower gum

6. She crawl on 4

7. She will push away her milk when she is full

8. She know hw to clap her hand @ 10mths 3wks 4days
