Took 1 day leave on 16-Dec-08 to bring my darling for xmas walk -in promotion at studioloft. Xuan Lin just love to smile. She is just so cooperate to make the whole session short and fast. Spend $50 in total for 2 settings. Overall quite satisifed with the picture. So have decided to sign up the LBS package with them for xuan lin 1yr old bday shooting. Attached with the picture taken with them.

So what are the milestones @ 8mths?
1. Xuan Lin can sit on her own very well playing with her toys for long hours.
2. Her first word - bababaa.
3. Her favorite fruit - Banana
4. She will sit in her walker and dash around the house
5. She loves baby biscuits
6. She can do sit-and-reach! ;)
7. She will look at the camera when we are taking pictures of her
8. She loves tearing tissue paper into very small pieces and put into her mouth
9. She knows leopard crawl
10. She started to stand more often and can stand pretty well with some support

Mummy Birthday on 10 Nov 08

I was on leave bring my princess out with my mum for lunch at Din Tai Fang. Happy Birthday to myself... this yr i hv my princess celebrating with me. We have catering dinner that night so didn't went out for dinner. My Mil went to buy fried chicken, satay & fried oyster to jia chai... And of cause not forgetting about my birthday cake which hb pay for it...

End of supply wef 09 Nov 08

After 'working' hard like a cow for nearly 7 months, and has supply partial fm on 14 Sept 08. i decided to stop the supply of breast milk. No choice cos i am very busy @ work + I have to look after my darling at nite so all these makes it tougher for me to perserve on and the mean reason is i can only express less than 50ml every 3hrs interval :-(.

Anyway, now my darling is on Total Formula milk and that also means I need to work hard to earn more $ to buy milk powder! :p I find that bringing formula milk out is convenient than breast milk. But her appetite drop tremedously over the past 2 weeks and only start to pick up this week. Since formula milk need $$ to buy i don't overdose her and feed her every 3 hours or wait until she cry for milk then i give her so that she can finished up the milk! :) Now i need to source out where is the cheapest place in town to buy Enfapro liao! ;) If u got good lobang, tell me!! :D

My Princess is 7mths old on 09 Nov 08

Another month older, another month wiser" - This is what my family says abt xuan lin.

Anyway, here are the milestones @ 7th month:
1. She can sit upright on her own for longer duration and very steady already.
2. She can put her pacifier in and out from her mouth
3. She is simply too lazy to crawl
4. She loves swimming
5. She likes to eat cereal
7. She can walk straight or sideways in her walker.
8. She will use nappy cloth to cover herself when she feel cold at nite
9. She is getting more sticky to me these days. Wanna me to carry when i reached home

24 Oct 08 POP Dinner

Finally hb can pass out after 10mths of in-camp training. He can invitied 2 guests to the dinner. Well of cause being his wife i m one of his guest lah. Initially wanted to invite his DD Philip Ang but he will be outstation that week. So ended up he called his ex-boss Chow Eng Hwee to check if he can attend the dinner that nite.

I was on leave that day. I went to hair salon to get my hair cut then take bus down novena sq to shop for another dress. Bought a black formal dress which cost $45 and faster headed to tmc for my last hep B jab. Haiz...cos i m too desperate to get a dress so anyhow grab and ended paying extra for a casual dress $59.90.

That night i doll myself up and travel to CCK alone. Cause hb will be waiting for me in his camp. I take train to CCK and cab into his wulu camp. I saw him in tuxedo (no. 1 uniform) . He is look smart and i m so proud of him. Being a senior officer any1 need to slaute him when he hold me walk passed. The whole event include group photo taking, speech given by a minister, given out certificate and montage on their training. We are served with appettizer (raw salmon & salad), main course (grilled chicken), dessert (cheese cake & chocolate).

I m regretted not brining my camera there. Actually is my fault i totally forgot about my camera. Everyone was like taking picture with one and other. Only me and hb didn't take any picture together. Wear so nice for what... Stupid me lah... Sooooo sad.....

My Beloved Grandma left us :((

On 14 Oct 08 my beloved grandma has passed away :'-(. The last time i see her was the day before she passed away. I help her to massage her hand and feet cos she admitted the hospital on 04 Oct due to stroke. Half of her body is numb, her hand and feet will swollen cause she can't move at all. Blood cot find on her left brain, lung is seriously infected. Doctor advised said condition is critical want us to be prepare. Well, i want my grandma to recover but at the same time if she recover she will have to rely on wheel chair. My youngest uncle is not going to take care of her anymore. If her condition is stabilise her children intend to send her to elderly care centre. I know she hate the nurse to suck out her phelgm for her, know she scare of injection, know she hate taking medicine, know she hate to stay in the hospital. I will be sad if she left us but i rather she passed away peacefully then suffer all these at her age. I will remember and miss her forever...

My Princess is 6mths old on 09 Oct 08

Xuanlin turn 6mths Old on 09 Oct 08. Planning to start her on semi-solid. Had bought some organic brown rice cereal for her. Another new food to intro her will be FM as my BM has been dropping and already can't express what she drink daily and hv but to give partial FM.

We start giving her cereal on 11 Oct. Alot of my fren feed cereal from milk bottle. But for me i prefer to feed with a spoon and my intention is to let bb knw that they are using a spoon and bowl to eat food and not from drinking bottle. She like the cereal so much. My 1st attempt making apple puree and end up she don't like cos the apple taste abit sour. Maybe i should try fuji apple next time.

Here are some milestones @ 6mth

1. She can sit upright on her own
2. She don't need us to help her to burp any more cos all we need to do is let her sit upright and within min, she will burrrp!!
3. She know how to spin the discovery ball on her own now and started to use her right hand to spin
4. She is trying to crawl but ended up turning around.
5. She tried to walk but ended up walking backwards in her walker!

My Princess is 5mths old on 09 Sept 08

BM supply has decreased drastically. No choice everyday mummy got to bring down 1-2pkts of FBM. Nw already empty my freezer no more FBM left. My princess dislike FBM so everytime waste my bm. haiz...already nt enuff bm still waste them...so sad :'-(. No choice we hv to supply partial formula milk already and at the same time mummy still hv to try hard pumping milk for my darling.

Over the past 1 month, we noticed our little darling is getting very cheeky and smart! Anyway, she now know how to bully her ah ma. She always made my mil to carry her by stretching out her hand, making noise and can't wait to get out from her cot when she sees my mil. ;)

Here are some other interesting stuffs/observations:
1. She knows how to hold thing with her 2 tiny hands together eg holding an empty tissue box
2. She likes to pull out her pacifier, look at it before throwing it away
6. She will make noise and stretch her hands out when she wants us to carry her.
7. She can flip already and her little legs alway kena stuck outside the baby cot and screaming for help!
8. She loves to laugh out loud.... eg hahahaha.....
9. She can sit in bumbo seat
12. She loves to suck her tiny toes

My Princess is 4mths old on 09 Aug 08

Spent longer time to get express 150ml or sometime even lesser. My supply has started to decrease eversince i reduce the expressing interval to 5-6hours 3-4 times a day. Thus, we started to supplement with 1 packet of "spare tank-EBM(Frozen breast milk). Me and hubby are quite persistent on giving BM. Well, just hope that i can prolong it.

So what happened over the last 1 mth?
1. Princess learn & love to grab things!
2. Princess loves to "talk" I guess probably she is trying to tell us what happen in the day time with my mum?? :p
3. Princess prefer drinking fresh BM than frozen BM. She always cannot finish her milk if we give her frozen BM (think bcos FBM got a chemical and fishy smell)
4. Princess discover her hands exist now and she will cross her hands like as if she is praying. Hmm probably she always see her daddy pray?!?! :p
5. Princess finally able to lift up her head during tummy time.
6. Princess able to sit upright with some support.
7. Princess likes to latch on and fall asleep on my breast.

Back to work on 24 Jul 08

After 3months of maternity leave... Finally i need to go back to work on 24 jul. Still left 10days of ML, afraid that my darling need to go polyclinic for jab... Will definitely miss my princess badly. I'm still tbf, so i hv to bring my barang barang to and fro. I hv only lunch time to express my milk. My concern is office rooms are all make of glass, no choice i hv to express in a storeroom which located at the pantry. It is a small room, no air-con, no electric plug (mine is a electric pump). Hw am i going to pump??? haiz.... was thinking if i should bring my avent manual pump there, but hor... manual is slower and will be very tedious for me. i hv only 1 hr lunch which include pumping and eating.

Spent only 15mins to get 150ml. To me, that is my quota for that hour. Prior to this, i have adjusted my expressing intervals to 4 times a day - 7am, 1pm, 7pm, 10pm. Well, believe my supply will definitely decrease very soon. Somemore my darling is drinking more and more each day. Well targeted to tbf her at least 6mths. Ganbette.... :-)Even tot is tiring and challenging but it the seek of my darling i think it is all worth it.

My princess is 3mths old on 09 July 08

Watching princess grow every day is indeed interesting although it's tiring sometimes. But i believe it's worth it. Every weekday evening when i reached hm, she will greet me with a BIG smile & talking baby lingo to me like telling me what happen in the day time....so cute!! :D Then every weekday morning, she will smile at daddy for goodbye. Last week we notice that xuan lin has bad dandruff which i think is craddle cap so i apply johnson baby oil and bought the dentinox shampoo which was recommend by the nurse. So we apply the baby oil onto her head before we wash her with the shampoo. Thank god that within few days, the head was healed now.

Other stuffs that we observe on her were

1)when i attempt to put her on tummy, she will kiss the bed and saliva started to drip... yucks! :p 2) she definitely has grown fatter and longer!
3) she likes to hold her own pacifier and push my hand off when she managed to suck the pacifier 4) she likes to suck her mitten until it's totally wet so we decided to remove her mittens and she enjoy sucking her thumb and index finger. My mum says she love both mummy and daddy cos thumb = daddy and index finger = mummy... haha.. anyway she's already sucking her fingers when we did the 1st trimester scan. ;-p
5) she will scratch her head and eyes before falling asleep on her own
6) she moves about in her sleep and we found her in a slant position or kungfu pose in the morning

My princess is 2mths old on May 08

Times really files....My princess is 2 months old. Really had a hard time looking after her, cause she really no need to sleep lor... she is light sleeper just like her daddy. Most of the time she need us to carry her to sleep and once we put her down to her cot she will wake up and cry. Well another thing to share is until nw i have not try bathing her cos u should she is simply too fragile....Luckily with my mil and mum help i can slowly learn hw to bath xuan lin. Shall post some picture during my 1st attempt bathing her.

Full Month Celebration

Been busy with my little one. Wanted to TBF my darling as long as i can. It has been a sleepless nite for me eversince my princess was born. I have to wake up every 2-3 hrs to latch on. Luckily with the help of my mil taking care of bb and doing confinement for me. At the same time i also started my post-natal massage on the following Monday 14 April for 10 sessions $600. Not cheap but hope to see result.

Naming for our princess, hubby decided to go Hua Xia Tai Mo Bi to let master to decide which character is best for her...we are given 5 best name and more then 10 single character to mix and match. After the discussion with my hubby our final choice is 陳宣霖 (Chen Xuan Lin). Following will be choosing a good day for daddy to go ICA to submit document for birth certificate.

We decide to hold a full month celebration only for relative on 04 May 08. As for fren and colleague we ordered full month package from chOz confectionery. As buffet we only tried Neo Garden on our AD and feedback from fren and relative was quite good so will cater from them again.

Home Sweet Home

After 3days 2Nite stayed at tmc really missed my simmons bed. Finally we can bring our princess back home today. BB got mild jaundice and her blood group is AB+. But not to worry paediatric advise just need to sunbath everyday under the sun for 10-15mins.

Arrival of my little princess

It was a right choice to go back home and sleep last nite. Daddy and mummy decided to go back to tmc in the morning. Did a check and was still 3cm dilated. Mummy was push to labour ward and wait for Dr Wong. Dr Wong came in and burst the waterbag and mummy was put on drip to at about 9 plus.

At about 10.30am mummy start to feel the contraction. Nurses came in and ask if wan any pain relieve and mummy insist NO EPI...

11 plus contraction become more regular....start to use breathing method. Breath in, breath out....

12 plus contraction become more and more intense like every 15mins interval. Ask for laughing gas to relieve some pain.

1 plus the pain is unbearable anymore. Luckily daddy is very supportive. He stays beside me and keep asking me to relax breath in and out. Nurses came in and check finally cervix open till 8-9cm. I can't take it anymore got the urge to push bb out already. Can really feel bb is very low. Dr Wong came in and ask mummy to prepare and get ready to push. After about more than 8 push my little princess has arrive at 1356hrs weighing 2.91cm and height 46cm.

On 8 April 2008, as usual mummy go to work in the morning. She went to the toilet at about 9 plus and found that there is some mucus plug and shows on her panties. She is so worry and faster go back to her desk to make a call to the clinic and check if she in labour. Nurse ask me to monitor for regular contraction. But at that time my contraction is not regular. Colleagues wants mummy to go back home in case anything happen. So i called daddy to inform him... mummy went back home and wait for daddy to rush back home.

Then we started to record the interval and hw long is the contraction last. Still irregular until 8 plus in the evening. We decide to go tmc instead, reach there at abt 9 plus was put on CTG and nurses did a cervix check it was 3cm dilated. Daddy told mummy that if we admit on that day is consider 1 day only if we admit after 11pm is consider the next day. After some discussion with daddy we decided to go back home that nite.

Monthly Checkup on 4 April 2008

Mummy apply half day afternoon leave for checkup. So nervous and scare cos Dr Wong told mummy she is going to do a cervix check for her =(... Kaiting ah yi waited mummy at the bus stop outside tmc. My appointment is at 2pm. Weight increase to 62.7 kg on week 37. Dr Wong told mummy next appt is 1 wk ltr and my cervix has already dilate 1 cm at that time. She suspect should be going to labour this 1 or 2wk. Tentatively next appt schedule on 11 April for CTG.
